Fran Rawson, (613.754.5414) a wood carver and relief wood sculptor also does incredibly intricate shell art. Fran’s shell work is exquisite in both its design and attention to detail. Her wildlife sculptures are intricately carved with exceptionally realistic details!
Fran has studied under the ‘Diva of Shell Art’ Shirley Farley. Fran has adapted many of the techniques and details she learned under Shirley’s tututelage into her own creative, functional works.
Fran learned wood carving techniques from well-known carvers such as J.P.Robitaille, Jim Wilsford, Daisy and Chuck Hinckel and Frank Russell. Fran’s work has been on display at the Museum of Nature in Ottawa.
